METALGUARD ANTI-CORROSIVE
METALGUARD ANTI-CORROSIVE EPOXY PRIMER (AEP)
METALGUARD ANTI-CORROSIVE EPOXY PRIMER (AEP) is a 2-pack epoxy-based primer formulated specifically as a metal primer. This product is water impermeable and has excellent resistance to oils, solvents, alkalis and most dilute acids. Designed for an industrial application. It is compatible with a wide range of topcoats. This is excellent for priming metal/steel prior to application of topcoat. It can also stand alone as a rust inhibitor to steel/metal.
SURFACE PREPARATION: All surfaces should be grit blasted and the newly cleaned steel should be coated as soon as possible before the formation of rust.
MIXING: The entire contents of the hardener should be added to the base container and mixed thoroughly until a uniform consistency is obtained. The mixed material should be applied with a suitable stiff nylon type brush or roller. Second and subsequent coats may then be applied as necessary allowing 6-8 hours between each coat.
COVERAGE: 24 sqm per gal set

It is compatible with a wide range of topcoats.
