Primers and Bonding Agents
CONCRETE BONDING AGENT PURE
CONCRETE BONDING AGENT PURE
CONCRETE BONDING AGENT PURE is a premier bonding primer to support the adhesion from old to new concrete. It is suitable for priming all concrete surfaces and steel prior to the application of any resin-based floor coatings and toppings.
1. SURFACE PREPARATION All surfaces must be dry, smooth, sound and free from dirt, dust and other foreign materials. It should be primed with a compatible primer. New concrete should be fully cured prior to application. It is ideal to clear the room or area from other activities to avoid the presence of dust/dirt.
2. Apply a think layer of CONDCRETE BONDING AGENT using a paintbrush, roller brush or sprayer on the substrate.
3. The following drying times should be applied: To touch: 5 mins
To recoat: 15 mins
Final cure: 24 mins
COVERAGE: 30 sqm per gallon
BONDCRETE BONDING AGENT
BONDCRETE BONDING AGENT FOR SLM
BONDCRETE BONDING AGENT FOR SLM is a premier bonding primer for smooth, sealed and porous substrates. It contains a special polymeric curing agent that provides the film with a high degree of adhesion and chemical corrosion resistance. This is specially formulated to support the bonding of any concrete to Self Leveling Mortar (SLM).
1. SURFACE PREPARATION All concrete or mortar surface to be treated must be firm, dust free, oil free and clean. All laitance should be removed mechanically. The surface should be thoroughly washed off with clean water and any surface ponded water should be removed.
2. Apply a think layer of BONCRETE BONDING AGENT using a paintbrush, roller brush or sprayer on the substrate.
The following drying times should be applied: To touch: 5 mins
To recoat: 15 mins
Final cure: 24 mins
COVERAGE: 30 sqm per gallon
BONCRETE STRUCTURAL EPOXY
BONCRETE STRUCTURAL EPOXY BONDING AGENT
BONCRETE STRUCTURAL EPOXY BONDING AGENT is a solvent free epoxy resin formulation used for bonding new cementitious materials to existing cementitious surfaces. It contains a special curing agent that provides the film with a high degree of toughness, adhesion and chemical corrosion resistance.
2. Pour the entire contents of the hardener into the resin and mix the two materials thoroughly until homogenous. BONCRETE STRUCTURAL BONDING AGENT should be applied to the prepared surface by paintbrush, roller or spray. Pour fresh concrete while BONDCRETE STRUCTURAL EPOXY BONDING AGENT is still wet or tacky.
POT LIFE: 40-45 mins
FULL CURE TIME: 24 hrs to fully cure
COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH: 10,000 to 12,000psi
COVERAGE: 13-15sqm @ 1 coating
ACRYLIC PRIMER
ACRYSEAL ACRYLIC PRIMER
ACRYSEAL ACRYLIC PRIMER is an alkali resistant exterior emulsion primer. Excellent penetration into the substrate there by providing the best adhesion. Offers best protection against alkali attack. Ideal for priming exterior surfaces. Can also be used to prime interior surfaces.
1. Allow the substrate to cure for minimum of 28 days. The substrates must be dry, clean and sound, free of dust and other loose particles. Stir the product well before using. No dilution/mixing with water is required.
2. Manually mix ACRYSEAL ACRYLIC PRIMER or use a hand mixer, to achieve a homogeneous mixture. Apply 2-3 coats and allow 3-8 hours curing before applying the next coat. Curing time is dependent on conditions at site.
COVERAGE: 150 sqm per gal at 1 coat.
FLOORGUARD EPOXY
FLOORGUARD EPOXY PRIMER 100
FLOORGUARD EPOXY PRIMER 100 is a two -pack 100% solids epoxy -based primer formulated from high grade resins and curing agents. It is suitable for priming all concrete surfaces and steel prior to the application of any resin-based floor coatings and toppings. FLOORGUARD EPOXY PRIMER 100 is water impermeable and has excellent resistance to oils, solvents, alkalis and most dilute acids.
1. All surface must be clean, sound and free from foreign materials.
2. The entire contents of the hardener should be added to the base container and mixed thoroughly until a uniform consistency is obtained. The mixed material should be applied with a suitable stiff nylon type brush or roller.
The first coat must be firmly applied and scrubbed into the surface ensuring a uniform coating. Second and subsequent coats may then be applied as necessary allowing 4-5 hours between each coat.
COVERAGE: 10-12 sqm per gal
